E-mobility carbon credit program available in your selected country
The selected e-mobility project would result in an estimated xx tCO2 of carbon savings per annum, which could translate into an estimated financial benefit of xx USD per annum for the project owner. We are actively looking for project owners to set up new e-mobility carbon credit programs around the world.
Whether ITMOs or the voluntary market can be targeted will be dependent on the details of your project and the host country’s carbon market policies, which we can assess for you.
Aceleración de la movilidad eléctrica en Uruguay mediante créditos de carbono
El Programa de Movilidad Eléctrica de Uruguay se propone para su registro en el Estándar de Carbono Verificado (VCS) de Verra. El programa es un proyecto agrupado con múltiples instancias de actividad del proyecto (PAI).
Zeroca es el promotor del proyecto y tiene el control y la responsabilidad generales del mismo. El proyecto incluye múltiples PAI de participantes individuales que controlan y operan las actividades del proyecto y tendrán un contrato con Zeroca.
El programa acelerará la transición a la movilidad eléctrica mediante la participación de diversos actores clave vinculados al sector del transporte (propietarios, proveedores o fabricantes de la tecnología, inversores, operadores, empresas de leasing, entre otros). Solo incluye vehículos eléctricos de batería. No se incluyen los vehículos híbridos, híbridos enchufables y eléctricos de pila de combustible.
El programa promoverá la movilidad eléctrica mediante la expansión de la infraestructura de recarga para vehículos ligeros y la aceleración de la transición a vehículos eléctricos de las siguientes categorías:
Motocicletas y vehículos de tres ruedas (triciclos);
Turismos, incluidos taxis y vehículos de transporte compartido;
Camionetas;
Vehículos comerciales ligeros, incluidas furgonetas y minibuses;
Autobuses urbanos e interurbanos para el transporte de pasajeros;
Vehículos pesados y camiones; y
Maquinaria y equipos móviles.
Se espera que el programa tenga cobertura en todo el país, con el fin de apoyar el uso generalizado del transporte de bajas emisiones, lo que, además de contribuir a la mitigación del cambio climático, también reportará beneficios para la salud y la calidad de vida de las personas al reducir la contaminación atmosférica y acústica.

Accelerating e-mobility in Uruguay through carbon credits
The Electric Mobility Program Uruguay is proposed for registration under the Verra Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). The program is a Grouped Project with multiple Project Activity Instances (PAIs).
Zeroca is the Project Proponent with overall control and responsibility for the project. The Project includes multiple PAIs of individual Project Participants who control and operate project activities and will have a contract with Zeroca.
The program will accelerate the transition to e-mobility through the participation of various key actors linked to the transportation sectors (owners, suppliers or manufacturers of the technology, investors, operators, leasing companies, among others). It includes only battery – electric vehicles. Hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fuel-cell electric vehicles are not included.
The program will promote e-mobility through the expansion of charging infrastructure for light-duty vehicles and the acceleration of the transition to electric vehicles of the following categories:
The program is expected to have coverage throughout the country, to support the widespread use of low-emission transportation, which in addition to contributing to the mitigation of climate change, will also have benefits for peoples’ health and quality of life by reducing air and noise pollution.
