E-mobility carbon credit program available in your selected country

The selected e-mobility project would result in an estimated xx tCO2 of carbon savings per annum, which could translate into an estimated financial benefit of xx USD per annum for the project owner. We are actively looking for project owners to set up new e-mobility carbon credit programs around the world.

Whether ITMOs or the voluntary market can be targeted will be dependent on the details of your project and the host country’s carbon market policies, which we can assess for you.

Our Local Consultant in Brazil, Cristina Albuquerque, recently took part in Lat.Bus 2026 (Feira Latino-Americana do Transporte), held in São Paulo from 11–13 August.

Cristina was invited to moderate the panel “Benefits of Electromobility in Public Transport: From Emissions Reduction to Gender Inclusion,” bringing together experts from across Latin America to discuss the future of public passenger transport and the broader benefits of the transition to electric mobility.
The event also featured the V LAC E-Mobility Salon, hosted by the World Bank, IDB, GIZ, C40 and UITP, in partnership with WRI and ITDP, under the theme “Scaling Electric Bus Deployment in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC): A Public-Private Dialogue to Accelerate Zero-Emission Mobility.”

Lat.Bus also showcased new electric bus models entering markets across the region, highlighting the growing momentum behind zero-emission public transport in Latin America.

We are pleased to see Zeroca represented in these important regional discussions and to continue contributing to the acceleration of e-mobility in Brazil and across Latin America.

Great news for 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 in #Chile: Zeroca’s “𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲” activity has now been authorised by both #Switzerland and #Chile under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement.

The significance is clear: outside Santiago’s metropolitan public bus network, which is not part of the activity, the uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) remains extremely low, with market penetration below 1% and sales shares under 2%. By promoting the adoption of EVs across multiple categories, including buses and trucks, the activity helps 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 and supports the 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞-𝐮𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 in Chile. The KliK Foundation will support the financial viability of the activity by purchasing the resulting #ITMOs.

Another strong example of how #Article6 can help accelerate market transformation where it is needed.

Congratulations to everyone involved in making this milestone possible!

A Great LATAM Milestone: 2nd Program in the Region to Pass This Step

Zeroca is pleased to share an important milestone: our aggregated e-mobility program for Uruguay has successfully completed validation and has now been formally submitted for authorization under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. This makes it the second program in Latin America to reach this stage, following our pioneering work in Chile.

What makes this program special?

The program is designed to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and expand Uruguay’s charging infrastructure. As a country where 98 percent of electricity comes from renewable sources, Uruguay is well-positioned to lead in the transition to clean transportation.

This initiative supports multiple stakeholders rather than a single beneficiary, fostering a collaborative approach that brings together key players from the e-mobility sector. It includes partnerships with state and non-state actors, charge point operators, project developers, and industry leaders working towards a common goal.

By implementing a scalable and transparent approach, the program aims to generate measurable greenhouse gas reductions while enhancing the financial viability of EV adoption. The activity is supported by the KliK Foundation, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.

We are proud to contribute to this important step in Latin America’s electric mobility transition and look forward to working with more partners committed to a cleaner, more efficient transport future.

Supporting E-Mobility in Chile

Zeroca is pleased to share progress on an exciting new initiative: our aggregated e-mobility program for Chile has successfully completed validation stage and has been formally submitted for authorization by the governments of Chile and Switzerland under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement, as the first ITMO program to reach authorization stage in Chile!

What is special about this program?

The program aims to reward early adopters of electric vehicles and expand charging infrastructure in Chile. Importantly, it is designed to support multiple actors rather than a single beneficiary and is based on a collaborative approach, inviting participation from a range of stakeholders across Chile’s e-mobility sector.

By working together with the entire local EV industry under the first aggregated e-mobility ITMO program worldwide, we aim for a meaningful contribution to the country’s electric mobility transition, while delivering measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. The financial viability of the activity will be achieved with the support of the Klik Foundation.

We are proud to contribute to this groundbreaking milestone and look forward to engaging with more partners who share our vision for a cleaner, more efficient transport future.
